  1. So here's the deal: I have no idea, if he's still making music or if his music is still somehow out there. About 5 years ago, I followed a guitarist on YouTube. He was a metal solo artist, playing a superstrat (not Ibanez though, but some other, less well-known brand) He lived I somewhere in the far east (Pakistan, Isreal etc.). He made a single first and then he made an album. He announced his album by doing a 2 minute skit. In his skit, he played himself being an arrogant, self centered guitar superstar. I remember a few scenes about his skit: His mom (also played by him) was like: "All he ever wanted to do is play guitar. I tell him: go to school. Nothing. Only playing guitar. Ahh really!" In another scene he was being driven in the back of a limousine and claimed that we was famous in Israel (I believe). However, the cameraman Interviewed people on the street mentioning his name and people where like: "who?" (in their native language). He also played a scene in which he was asked by an interviewer if he considered himself the best guitarist who ever lived. He takes a sip of champaign and said: "yes". The last scene that I remember was him playing guitar in some sort of ruins. He then closed off the skit and addressed his viewers: "thank you for watching my stupid video. Anyway my new album (don't remember the name) is out now with yours truly on guitar and my friend (some dude from Portugal or Brazil) on drums." Does anyone have an idea who I was talking about? I remember his single being kickass. Edit: guys guys. This is huge. I remember now: his name is Raz Ben Ari. My God it's unbelievable how I went from 0-100 just writing this down. I'm so happy right now.
  2. Glad to be on board. My name is Steve, I live in Germany and I've been into metal for the majority of my life. It all probably started when I was about 15, playing Guitar Hero 3. I've always been into rock music, but I could never quite put my finger on what to call the things I like. The first metal song I've ever heard (it was actually outside of GH3) was "Down with the sickness". This song got me into metal and probably changed my whole life, hence my nickname. Over the years I actually learned about the sub genre of metal and in the golden days of YouTube I was free to binge as much as I would like. If you ask me, the energy created by metal is unprecedented. No other genre of music gives you that kind of rush and the will to push trough life's toughest challenges.
