"Consistent" is a good way to describe what Taake does. I haven't heard everything the band has released, but I'm hard pressed to think of a clunker in the batch I've spent time exploring.

I've been listening to Solstafir, Wolves in the Throne Room, Oranssi Pazuzu, Oathbreaker, Blud Aus Nord and Bloodbark of late. But I've also got a soft spot for classic bands like Sabbath, Maiden, Priest, Saxon, Witchfinder General and Angel Witch, so they're in pretty regular rotation as well.

Interesting how many lists Taake turns up on. Clearly a sign of quality.
