  1. Life went from pretty good to pretty bad quickly. It's concerning how fast my mood swings when faced with trauma. Funnily enough, when I am faced with experiences directly, asked about it I don't get any problems or bad feelings usually, though I don't feel the need to talk about it and block off, which might be coping. But when something similar happens my mind shuts into hermit mode and I isolate, binge forums and music and wish the moment where I binge all of it just would not end, as if I would not have to sleep, or rather get up the next day to do some shit before binging again until I feel fine again. This now could take a while. Did not eat much/enough for days. Don't feel a lack of energy though. Trying to be social at work to at least not fall into loneliness again on top of the shit that happened. Well, even if I would I have friends here who told me I should give them a call when something happens, but oh well, I rather not talk about it in person. It's just some exaggerated reaction to a series of bad shit that will fade and stay away for the majority of time anyways, so why bother. It'll be fine, so whatever. It's just so messed up because a series of good and bad things happened within such a short time so I don't really know how to feel, so my mind kind of decided to feel nothing instead of switch throughout the day. Though it's the perfect mindset to listen to Xasthur, almost magical.

    Mayhem

@Requiem Alright, then it most likely is a hoax. It still baffles my mind. I found out about it by an article called all of Mayhem's shows in 1990 or something. I still wonder how tf and who made it up. it has to be someone closeby. But even then, why do I find (fake Leipzig) recordings claiming to be in my town on russian sites? It's fucked up and really messing up my mind more than it should probably. Also, I think you meant Sarpsborg

    Mayhem

It just seems so odd that this name pops up with the zeitz recordings and it seems to be a widespread rumour, however the recordings that I found (those are not the ones I was talking about) seemed to be slowed down versions of Zeitz indeed.
  5. @H34VYM3T4LD4V3 Yes, the switch really has a catalogue of great games. I recommend Spyro Reignited Trilogy, one of the games I always wanted to see on nintendo because it is so fitting. Its my favorite platformer of the 90s. Not playing smash atm, will buy all of the dlc fighters when I feel like it again. Spent a lot of time playing mario kart in my eveningschool time and also odysee. Man, time ran, already 2 years passed since I went there... Fun times.
  6. @rakestein you should get a switch. It is one of the best and unique systems I have played.
  7. Pretty sad because someone moves away... Don't even know him for long it's just that I am pretty lonely in general so this sets me off fairly quickly and intensely.

    Mayhem

@BalorI also can't really believe they did. It's weird however that this rumour exists and I am interested where it originated from. It's weird that someone would come up with it as this town is fairly unknown, especially in the global scale of things. I know or rather have heard there was a pretty infamous black metal scene among the locals back in the day though. I did not spend the night at my place so I did not have the opportunity to check out the recordings I found. I got redirected to this video and I was sceptical because it said live in gleisdorf at the thumbnail in google but not on youtube.

    Mayhem

Ok guys, I just found out that Mayhem had an obscure concert in 1990 called "Live in Gleisdorf" which is available as a bootleg and apparently yet another pretty mysterious chapter of Mayhems history. Gleisdorf is a small town in South-Eastern Austria, and guess who lives there: Me! I just found out and found a torrent DL to the bootleg which I am definitely going to check out. I also found a pic which is supposedly from this concert and I have to say, it looks a lot like one of the 2 music venues we have here. Being the autist I am when it comes to nerdy facts and loving mysterious things, paired with my hunger to find out stuff I really want to find out when this concert was, where it was (as in in which venue), the setlist (bootleg?) and if the concert even existed as close to nothing is known about it. Why am I posting this? I probably need help. I can imagine some more people are interested in this, merely because it is Mayhem, the band with the infamous history, more facts are more facts about the band we love right? Being a local at the town this whole mystery plays in makes me even more pumped to be investigating this, so if anyone has ideas as to what or where I can look for leads and hints, I would highly appreciate it. My first instinct was to ask some metalhead that could have attended the concert. I know there is a scene in Gleisdorf and it's surroundings, even older ones then me with my 20 years, but I mainly have contact to the younger generation. The oldest black metaller I sometimes see walking his dog is probably 28. If this concert was in 1990 and person x I am looking for was, lets say, 18 at the time, he would be 36 now. I don't know a metalhead that age here. I could try ask that weird, probably mentally retarted old guy I sometimes see at festivals if he knows anything, but meeting him can take a while. I even met him at a concert in Gleisdorf once, but as I don't really know him I have no means of contacting him to ask questions. I honestly want to solve the mystery of this concert, this is going to keep me awake for a while. If anyone has any ideas where I could look for information, I would highly appreciate it. Maybe I can ask my parents if they know about a certain controversial band that played, but it has been such a long time and they don't like metal, so I doubt they remember. Though, there was probably something about it in the media, but I could also be wrong. Fuck, not knowing this is getting on my nerves. I've found "lost" media before, so I know it can take a while. It was all digital though. Finding out something like that with "real" things seems fun. Let's see if I can get anything. Thanks. Edit: Step 1 of this "operation" would be to find a DL of the bootleg and see if I can hear our local slang to verify it is from here. If it is, it is probably legit and this concert existed, if not I probably still try to find out whether it was real or not with the information I can gather.
  10. Thinking about a verse I still need to write sometime soon and how to "connect" it with the first one.
  11. this is weird because in my area only we have a slang word called "flackn" which means either stealing or fucking and I never thought someone outside it would usw "FLAC" in the same way jokingly. I always tell my friends "I FLACed this album of my collection" (meaning fking... Not stealing as I own them ?)
  12. Was probably one of the most intelligent things I've heard regarding this topic, thanks a lot.
  13. @Requiem I'd rather rip them to FLAC. You get almost no noticable compression and you really start noticing a difference once you get used to the FLAC format.

  15. So.... You identify as a spider then? What do kids these days call that? Arachnogender maybe?
  16. @Kilian_Leon I listened to Psychonaut 4 before, but somehow it did not stick with me. Can't even remember what the album I streamed was called. Maybe I'll give it another shot though. Any album recommendation by them? They play in Berlin next year at a festival I think about visiting anyways, so it would be good to know if I actually like them or just had a bad selection of songs or just forgot how good they actually are, lol.
  17. I really, really love DSBM. Sadly, I don't know too many artists, but hey I am not dead yet so I can still discover. Some of my favorite artists include: Ofdrykkja Shining Lifelover No Point In Living I also like the depressive artwork on the albums.

  19. I don't like MP3s. I prefer vinyl but oftentimes I don't have the time to sit around and listen to a whole album, so I digitalize my albums and keep them as a collection. I export them as FLAC files for more quality and listen to them on my headphones when I am outside or do something else if I don't have time. second one is CDs for bands that don't have vinyl Releases. I also rip them to FLAC, not mp3.
  20. Yea, it is a joke band and the people are pretty weird and unpredictable (not always in the most positive sense) irl. It's not the best music, but there's something if you realize parts of that video was filmed in the supermarket I frequented as a kid often. Also I think you can only appreciate the title of the song if you are from my area and speak the dialect there Back to topic. Also not my personal favorite. I like their more extreme song, but it's solid 6/10
  21. World Misanthropy - Dimmu Borgir
  22. I love testament, but this song is not my favorite. 7/10
  23. I bought "Anatomy of the Beast" from Intestine Baalism and a CD called Moshpit Murder, which I just randomly ordered alongside it because it was cheap. I now own every Intestine Baalism Album Only the demo missing now. Thinking about buying the version of Anatomy with the proper booklet and the Vinyl of it. Also the CD of Ultimate instinct as I only have the vinyl. Yea, I like them.
  24. I found out there is a movie from last year about one of my favorite hobbies next to metal, which is skateboarding, called mid90s which I am going to order and watch with a friend hopefully next weekend. I usually don't watch tv or movies so this is the first time I actually look forward seeing something. Other than that I wanted to ask if anyone can recommend some movies about metal (Bands). Can be anything, documentary, fiction. Would be a great help, thanks.
  25. (I don't like the band but damn that cover though)
