Hello there from Latvia. I'm an 18 year old. Soon going to turn 19 (February). So today I discovered this metal forum. I discovered it by just searching for "metal forums" Found this place, began to search some stuff about black metal. So what's my favorite bands you might ask. I'm not just a metalhead who loves to listen just strictly to metal. To be honest, I started listening to metal in beginning of this year by discovering song Master Of Puppets by MetallicA. Then I heard One by MetallicA and it all began. Slipknot, Pantera and then I found Burzum. For this moment my favorite bands are (not counted down by specific way): Metallica Pantera Slipknot Burzum Red Hot Chilli Peppers Guns N' Roses Bathory Of course, I am listening to other songs/genres/bands, but I counted down favorite ones. I love hip hop too. Hard rock of course is one of favorite genres since I'm GNR fan. Here are some favorite songs of mine. Paradise City, Welcome To The Jungle, Right next door to hell, Garden, Civil War, Rocket Queen; Master Of Puppets, One, Battery, Damage Inc, Disposable Heroes, Fight Fire With Fire, Creeping Death; Disasterpiece, Eyeless, Sic, Wait and Bleed; Dunklheit, Lost Wisdom and some more Burzum songs I can't recall now; like 80% of RHCP music; Reaper, 13 Candles, Call from the grave. Almost all Hammerheart album. Twilight of Gods has more than half album of great shit in it; Of course tons of other Bathory material. It's like one of latest bands I've discovered, and I can say that Quorthon was one of the best vocalists in his genre. Might sound kind of a crazy/wrong etc., but just by checking out his raw vocals in first and third album my musical taste just screams "That's f-ing great!" Hammerheart goes softer, but it's clean, good and just creates the whole vibe. Well, what he did on last two albums in plan of vocals is just pure magic. Just that soft and beautiful vibe those vocals give to you... Uhhh, just incredible. What I hate about metal is songs where vocalist just ghrowls/screams like an ork. I'm sorry for maybe offending somebody's tastes, but it's just my honest opinion. I also hate those "tu-ru-tu-ru-tu-ru-tu-ru" beats that just go fast and monotonous. I love vibe. Dark, creepy, cold, real and honest vibe of something in music. Well, that's it. Won't call my name cause big part of you guys here wont pronounce it right anyway. My english is not in a good level to right very confident and fluently. Anyways, cheers!
