    This groove metal band Zero-day-wareZ does improvised jams. They are low-fi and pretty raw but there are some meaty grooves there. See what you think. http://zerodaywarez.bandcamp.com PS. some of the tracks are a little more on the 'stoner rock' side of things I guess, but mostly what I'd call groove metal or funk metal.
