  1. I have spent a lot of time with this LP. To Fathers Cabin...wow. The album holds up...well it stands strong.
  2. Amorphis- Tales From The Thousand Lakes
  3. Dissection- The Somberlain I hate the click bass drum sound. worst part of the LP (only worst part).
  4. A solo project from Texas. The intro blows my mind every time I listen to this one. Just give this track one min and 10 secs- if anyhting the opening riff is worth it.
  5. forgot to add that this a body for a bass. I don't mind the weight at all- Some guys say it only matters with a single cut, some say no. idk, im lost and ordered it anyway. got my hands on a set of Thundergun pickups, a thick bridge and a spilt coil neck brick. they are pretty big.
  6. Can anyone break this down for me ? I am about to order a body and the price difference on the two swamp ashes is rather vast.
  7. High On Fire, Earth and Sunn 0))) as well as his amazing group Thrones. Joe Preston needs more love.

    Mayhem

Its still hell on the eyes. One story I have not heard before- I forgot the guys name but he was around for scene and came up with the guys. He was putting together a band to tour south amer. a remaining member of mayhem was going to be on the tour- Necro found out, told the "band" that he was alright with it BUT if Necro caught wind of any merch being cold or anything remotely related to the band and Deathcrush, he would legally end them.
  9. A wonderful band from America's India, Florida. Say hello to 1987...
  10. With Varg, I think you have to be in tune with what is going on with him. He is a very interesting human. Ulver has a great track intro off the 95 release titled Bergtatt @7:55 mark Here All the early stuff coming out of and around Scandinavian, just blows my mind. I love the mixing of styles, and genres. The countless demo recordings that sound like some guys threw in some random metal lps in mixer and hoped for the best.

    Mayhem

Issues #093 Nov/Dec Wow! Necro aired out a bit more dirty laundry in this issue ! Mayhem hopes to hit the 70 mark for countries toured by the early part of 2020. Morten would like to release a record every three years vs the six year mark or so. Necro will be made into a diamond, after he has passes. The way he said it was kind of odd. Anyone else pick this issue up ? Why does the magazine always smell like terror attack mail ?
  12. Shouldn't have had that much sauerkraut before bed.
  13. Acid Witch- Midnight Movies EP Beer and bong hits please
  14. on Burzum.org 23.10.2019 The working title for the next Burzum album is "Thulêan Mysteries" & it has - as the planned song list show - a Thulêan theme. The intention of the album is to be background music for your MYFAROG game session. It might well work for other situations too... The Sacred Well The Loss Of A Hero ForeBears A Thulêan Perspective Gathering Of Herbs Heill Auk Sæll Jötunnheimr Spell-Lake Forest The Ettin Stone Heart The Great Sleep The Land Of Thulê The Lord Of The Dwarves A Forgotten Realm Heill Óðinn, Sire The Ruins Of Dwarfmount The Road To Hel Thulêan Sorcery Descent Into Niflheimr Skin Traveller The Dream Land Thulêan Mysteries The Password The Loss Of Thulê
  15. My thoughts...you can skip them completely. When Trouble dropped Psalm 9 in 1984 and they had a demo in 83 but I have no idea how much of Psalm 9 was on it, if an...lost my train of thought, anyway better Doom albums had come out or about to come out. In the 80s- Trouble put out: Pslam 9 in 1984, The Skull in 85 and Run To The Light in 87. All three of those are in my opinion way better then anything Candlemass put out in the 80s. Who was candle with then...Peaceville or Black Dragon ? 1985 Vitus dropped The Walking Dead with SST Records. It speaks for itself. Another from 1985 is Black Hole with Blind Men Occult something. Here its worth a click if you want to hear what Ghost was going for on that six inch release Elizabeth. In 1986, you have Saint Vitus coming out with Born Too Late. Enough said. now in 1987, Vitus put out an EP Thirsty and Misérables (lol) this one is awful. Also in 1987 you have Arpia and im not spelling anything else out...De Lusioni this is an Italy thing. Lets jump right to 1991 with Cathedral and Forest of Equilibrium. Wow ! this album has it all. Great artwork, great tone all around Candle is good but I think it was just a matter of timing and location for them. You had all the Norway kids cooking up black metal, Peaceville was looking for anything new and heavy. Celtic Frost had just put out To Mega Therion in 85 and in 87 Into Pandemonium. Why not get the band with the singer with Germanic afro ? Nothing to do with the topic but a fun fact LOL in 1987, in the USA a band called Cutthroat put out an lp with a track titled Hard As Nails... The best Ode to a penis.
  16. This seems like the start of a travel horror movie, like that awful gore flick Hostel. Has anyone contacted her ? If you did, I would love hearing what was asked.
  17. Don't feel bad, I can make all the sounds I want...I just cant do it loud at all.
  18. Love the dark D&D synth stuff ! I have been enjoying this new wave of 80s synth as well. A group called Le Cassette has been on my mp3 Walkman for months. I have pinball arcade in town. I like throwing on the headphones, and do the 80s justice. I enjoy all of Varg's ambient music. He is working on a new lp for his RPG system. Pen and paper nerd or not, I will check it out. Man the new 80s synthwave is really and interesting movement right now. I love 80s horror, The Thing is my fav and I love that soundtrack- so all of this just hits the spot. If you need something different tonight Try " It Come From The 80s Vol 2" or Alex Emotions, in the 80s palette but more chill. <---Good stuff for sure. Light and easy, nothing deep and doesn't demand your full attention.
  19. If I click a link and you don't play Black Metal, you can not wear those shades anymore. If that isn't a set of Emperor sunglasses, I don't know what are. Give me the shades. Black Metal front man sunglasses privilege denied.
  20. A heavy Scottish band, that has really gone unloved. I would recommend you get an ear full.
  21. You cant go wrong with this band and this LP. Really enjoyed this when I found it, years ago. Do we not dig that deep in the 80s, for bands like this ? If you ordered a cheese pizza, you will find the artwork awesome...
