I'm a full one-man air band if it's music I like. Air drums with both feet and my hands, air guitar, moving around, shaking my fist in the air, mouthing the words or even singing along. Super entertaining for me. Less so for the family.

Definitely agree with you about the abstract masters and mistresses tbh I know the masters only but there must be a few excellent lady abstract painters.

Abstract art is always fun to experiment with.  I agree that it can be overdone quickly.  People really underestimate the skill of the masters.
My collages are made from newspaper images, but mostly text.  No ideas yet for death metal, but I will be sure to share it here when (if!) I get it done.

Sadly no artistic genes passed on from my mum that I'm aware of. My mum has lessons which helps her alot. For some people really do amazing work with a good teacher. I did gardening for an old lady while back and she did the most amazing realistic portraits of animals with the help of a good teacher. There's hope for me yet.   My best work has been cartoon stuff so far. Abstract art is my favourite to do. Sounds very easy but I find it not so. Easy to overdo an abstract work imo
 
 
How are your callages going balor. What materials are you using for those? You can use most things so maybe not such a daft question. 
Good luck with death metal song. Will you post it web when your done. What bands will be influences for this track
 

I have been working on a few collages, and I am technically supposed to be writing a death metal song for an online contest - but I have really been slacking on both!
Did you inherit any artistic genes from your mom?

memorable imo as an example how not to do a cover. im sure some people like the cover. 
there is something about hand done artwork which cgi cant quite do imo. your right.  i got an abstract print of a painting my mum did. some might call it a mess but id say its a mess with artistic merit so i like it. hows your art going balor. have you found time to do some stuff?

At least it is memorable, I guess!  CGI will never replace good, hand-done artwork, that's for sure.

agreed. theyve got so many great covers iron maiden but your posted cover of theres is one i dont like. im not sure what they was thinking. maybe they had too many 🥃🥃 when they approved the cover. 😂  im assuming its proper artist who did the cover and not steve harris's children. 
 
 

It is a monstrosity - pure and simple!

Always interesting to hear what works and what doesn't for different people. I think the Puppets cover is a really good illustration, even putting its iconic status aside. It pulls ideas from a couple different songs on the album into an instantly recognizable design that's boldly graphic while still having enough detail to be worth an extended look. It's well executed. The imagery and the color scheme are evocative - ominous sky, crowded military graveyard that goes on as far as the eye can see, creepy hands in the sky conveying the idea that someone with a lot of power is hiding behind the scenes using people and sending them to their deaths in ignorance of how they were being controlled... Yeah, it works. I wouldn't put it in a museum, but that's not what it's for.
That does look like Patrick Swayze, or maybe if Butt-Head went to boot camp.

i agree balor. just looks bad. whats the point of it all. i just dont get it. also from what i can see  whats the baby in a mask doing standing on a wolf in a bikini. its just weirding me out. 😫

I've always thought power metal had great album covers for the most part:
DragonForce - "Valley of the Damned"
Rhapsody - "Symphony of Enchanted Lands" (both parts)
A few other favorites of mine are:
Overkill - "Ironbound" and "The Electric Age"
PanterA - "Far Beyond Driven" and "The Great Southern Trendkill"
Candlemass - "Nightfall", "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus", "Ancient Dreams"

i have family who live in the bay area so there are some landmarks ive seen when ive been over from the uk. its nice extra

Glad you like it!  Right, it is definitely a comedy, but a good one.  The series is pretty consistent, so they are good all the way through the end.

balor i got episode 1 of series 1 of monk. Thanks for recommending it. its good so far. its bit different but i like it. definitely comedy element of it i like too. 
out of interest have you got any favourite episode of monk. or are they all good.
 

I agree intensity/energy is a type of atmosphere. 
  I usually find people usually talk about "atmosphere" when referring to some kind of brooding or melancholy, which I generally don't like listening too.

Satan, goats, and bagpipes. Although I'll settle for a nice theremin solo now and then.

On a serious note:

2. Intense/energetic
3. Not overproduced.

That’s a name I haven’t heard for quite some time. In fact, I don’t even have any of their music. 

Wow, interesting answers at first I thought some were joking,  but after placing an order for a new accordion with naked girls painted on it and visiting  my local prison for new bandmates, i realize im one bagpipe artist away from a great song..
Metal came along way!
