My experience on other forums has led me to believe that many black metal bands (especially older underground ones) should probably not join forums/give interviews.

Cool that your keeping busy even if on other forums. I'm doing ok really. Obviously the Ukraine situation is bit of an unknown and being in UK how will that affect me. Hopefully I won't be called up. Paintball is one thing. War is another. 
Yeah it's amazing how it can just click. I played bloodlust live to the mechanic at work who is a keen musician. It was too full on for him. He also discounted the motorhead comparison which I mentioned as theres a similarity to my ears at least.As he said they had more of a tune to there music whilst venom were just more extreme in approach. It was sort of like that with Venom for me too.  When I was first getting into black metal, none of the first wave stuff really clicked with me.  But then, just like you, I happened to watch some Venom live videos and loved what I heard.  I haven't spend much time with the album material, though.

I mostly buy via bandcamp these days if possible, I mean they still let you d/l flac instead of mp3s and I am a nerd enough to care.   All my 3,000+ CD (probably more in the mid 4ks) got ripped (as flac) to LAN and that plugs into my DAC that can be controlled by various UI device such as a tablet.  That said, since I tend to also listen to a shitton of new stuff, that I typically first go to Spotify or elsewhere thereafter.   But if I see myself spinning something again and again it is a buy.
For LP, which I do have a collection, I am pretty strict.  It has to be top of my list of albums I love as it takes up way too much space and costs way too much, but I've already spent a shitton on my vinyl setup in my questionable audiophile days.  For vinyl, I think thinned it to ~300-400, but probably will only keep ~100, and these days mostly metal.

Venom I did not like initially. It sounded like motorhead music and I was expecting more. However after more plays and especially after watching there live stuff on YouTube. Got to say it's very very good. I reckon it takes metal on to a new level of extreme definitely and it definitely sounds fantastic when it works. 
 Nightmare I liked,welcome to hell of course, I love bloodlust track so thrashy and intense.  Have you got a favourite venom era or album. 

It's not my favorite, though I have a soft spot for System of a Down on rare occasions.  I think the hate probably stems from the genre's adoption of a more commercial/rock/rap sound.  The people who hate it the most are probably those who are also very concerned about remaining in the "underground."

I have only began to listen to Venom this year, but I like a lot of it.  "Don't Burn the Witch" and "Seven Gates of Hell" are current favorites.

Baby girl Zoe was delivered by C-section just after 10 this morning. Mom and daughter are doing well, currently resting. Bandcamp and hangovers can wait.

I'd say there's not many thrash fans at all right now. Death metal and black metal reigns supreme. Thrash had a huge upsurge in the 00's but it's largely been replaced by death and black.

See, I have to disagree with that, because it implies that our preferences are somehow determined by our gender and I'm not sure I believe that. I think there have been several studies that determined that on average, our music tastes are generally set by the time we hit our early to mid teenage years. So it's far more likely guys are drawn to metal because they were more likely exposed to it by their social circles...either an older relative or friends who wanted to show them something "really gross and cool". Girls are generally less likely to get that kind of thing growing up, and as a result there's less women in metal. These days, access to streaming services and YouTube means kids and teens have more access to more varieties of music which probably explains why the number of girls in metal has been increasing. In general it's just easier to run across it than it was before, especially in those early years when we're still forming our tastes

I don't think it's in any way controversial or provoking to say that metal, especially the more extreme sub-genres of metal are just naturally going to appeal much more to testosterone filled dudes than it will appeal to girls who (not always but) more often than not tend to prefer more melodic music with melodic vocals.
But it's been my experience that there are almost always some girls around too and they are always more than welcome to participate. Dudes (especially younger dudes) just like having chicks around, bottom line. I've never seen a girl ridiculed or ostracized by guys for being into metal, quite the opposite dudes will generally tell her how cool it is that she's into metal. Kinda the same way guys seem to love when chicks are into sports or beer or cars or whatever it might be that they're into.

The sound of people eating...

I do get a bit of that irritation listening to people eat.  People eating with their mouths open really pisses me off.
Forgot to mention, every parent blaming their kid's lack of discipline and misbehaviour on autism and/or ADHD also pisses me off to no end.
It's down to the point where some parents I've met will drop how their kid is autistic/ADHD/fucked in the head within 5 minutes of meeting them.  It's like they are trying to pre-empt any bad behaviour by their kid with a disclaimer. 

Probably more in the ear of the beholder. Gotta say I've always loved the sound of other languages, myself, I guess not being able understand the words lets me appreciate everything as pure sound. 

Soon as I saw this question, I knew someone would say Anaal Nathrakh. That always seems to be the go-to answer for most people. Honestly though, I'd probably pull something from the war metal side of things...like Proclamation's "Execration of Cruel Bestiality" or maybe Nyogthaeblisz's "Ordnance for Adamic Holocaust and Cosmocidal Entropy"
 
I'm like Navy with this stuff. It's one of the reason's I'm always so terrible with the "what are some bands from this country" type questions, because I almost never look, and even when I glance at it I usually forget pretty quickly. I do know that the U.S. seems to be leading, or at least should be counted as part of the forefront for a lot of the raw black metal trend that's gotten so popular in recent years.
We also had our "cascadian black metal" trend from a few years back, but the only band I gave a shit about in that scene was Ash Borer.

His early stuff was really good. Enjoyed it a lot back when. I discovered Leviathan around the same time. Might have been the split they did or just independent albums. Not really my cuppa these days, but they were both  unique and influential. I remember seeing a documentary with him (Malefic) in it. Strange dude for sure.
Still spin Tenth Sublevel and Massive Conspiracy once or twice a year. Both of those are really solid albums.
I've seen Black Mass of Absu in passing but never checked them out. Thanks for the link @Balor.

Black Mass of Absu is another great USBM band that does not seem to get discussed nearly as much as they should.  They sound totally unique - almost doom with BM vocals.  Slow, heavy, and drenched in pitch-black sludge!

I got so many exciting suggestion so i wrote down everyhing you guys gave me so it would be more easy to get a overview.
Right now im listening to one of your suggestion Sargeist and already like it. When i look at my playlists there are a few songs from every black metal bands i so far going through, so i dont know why i pick some here and there, i would want to like full albums and save them to my library.
