    Books?

I have never read The Odyssey, but I really should - if only for cultural literacy. I am pretty ignorant of mythology in general, so I should probably work to fill in those gaps!

    Books?

Lots of good books on this list! I a few of the Sartre/Camus books a few months ago, and they are interesting. If you want any input on what to go to first on your to-buy list, then I cannot recommend getting into Kafka enough! As to what I am currently reading: Being and Time - Martin Heidegger The Temple of Dawn - Yukio Mishima The Illiad Book I - Homer
  3. What sort of experiences are you referring to? What is the thesis for your essay?
  4. Various releases by Black Mass of Absu might fit into this thread as well:
  5. Sounds like an interesting experience! Haha
  6. That makes sense. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure that I have ever seen 100% in a store. I will have to look next time that I go to the store.
  7. About 73% dark was the highest for me I think. I have always heard that anything higher than that is meant more for baking/cooking than eating alone. That being said, I would definitely try 100%.
  8. Cool. Share it here sometime! I would be interested to hear it.
  9. I have heard that there is an in-game black metal radio station in Cyberpunk, but I have not played the game to confirm.
  10. Well, I have said it before and will say it again: your paintings are good, and I think that if you keep persisting as you have, then you will start to see more people wanting to use/see your work! What kind of music are you doing?
  11. Cool! Was it for your own music, or someone else's?
  12. I can see where you are coming from, and we all definitely have our limits. Varg was definitely one of the best bm musicians ever, but his antics (even when totally disregarding the murder) are consistently stupid and laughable.
  13. I have really been into a lot of neofolk recently. Death in June, Darkwood, and Sonne Hagal have all been particularly enjoyable.
  14. A few for me: Technically, not an album, but the System of a Down songs that were played on the radio in the early 2000s. Hearing their riffs and aggression as a young kid really made an impression on me. It was what got me to begin playing the guitar, and was among the first bands that I recognized. I don't listen to them much anymore, but I have very fond memories of their music. Metallica -s/t album: This was the first metal album that I ever got (it was a gift), and is still one of my favorites. It is a great collection of songs. All of them are catchy and memorable. Burzum - Filosofem: This is my favorite Burzum album, and was one of the first black metal albums that I ever purchased. The ambient guitar tracks at the end remain inspiring to me, and I named my first musical project after them. Reek of the Unzen Gas Fumes/Xenophobic Ejaculation - split: Reek of the Unzen Gas Fumes changed my view of what metal can be by pushing speed and catchy riffs to the extreme. This split has some of their best tracks. This release was also my first introduction to the mighty power electronics of XE. I had never heard music like that before, and, since hearing it, I have been converted to listening to and playing noise music/power electronics. This is easily their best release!
  15. I never heard that one, but I am really partial towards their collaboration with Merzbow. It actually one of the few Merzbow releases that I really like!
  16. Not sure who you are referring to, but I agree that Boris' drone works are awesome. I really should listen to them more, but I have been too distracted by noise music!
  17. I have not, but if it is good then I will surely have to! How is it? I just looked it up, and I really like what I hear. Great cover art too! I will have to give this a closer listen.

    True crime

That's why they seem so interesting to me. They had some rationality about how they acted. They were not just psychos like the Nighstalker or someone similar.

    True crime

I have always found this stuff fascinating. Anything about BTK or Zodiac is especially interesting to me. Sounds interesting. I will have to look up his channel.
  20. RIP to Sabbaoth... (https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Sabbaoth/48921) Amazing musician from Goatpenis and Suppurated Fetus. He will be missed.

    Horror Films

The Vincent Price one sounds interesting, as I love his movies/acting. I think I saw parts of Creepshow a long time ago, and I liked the original comic book (as well as the recent tv adaptation). I will have to check out both!

    Horror Films

I want to see Suspiria (the original one), as it looks similar in terms of lighting. But I have yet to see it...

    Horror Films

It does. I have really been liking the Italian aesthetic/colored lighting lately. It's an anthology film, and definitely worth checking out.

A recent watch for me was Mario Bava's Black Sabbath.
