Stoned thoughts: I very occasionally feel insecure about my own metal knowledge around other metalheads. Like, I know more metal than quite literally anybody else in my town, the bunch of normies, but when I branch out I'll run into people who are pretty much walking metal encyclopedias, and I'm just like, how did you find the time, man? Should I learn from you, or be ashamed of myself?

Cleaving Giants of Ice - Revocation

Sounds like a good place to list what I've been doing lately. My mental health has been a bitch, and metal alone has kept me alright through it all since I last posted. I've recovered from two crippling addictions, alcohol and cigarettes respectively. I've also better learned how to keep my shit together whilst around other humans. I've been getting into harder and harder shit lately. My last 3 songs were Chainsaw Gutsfuck - Mayhem, Stormblast - Dimmu Borgir, and I Cum Blood - Cannibal Corpse. Also been into doom metal, like Sun 0))) and Electric Wizard. What I'm saying is I've been taking in all the metal, and it's kept me sane.

I like weed, but I drink way more often than I toke. The last time I was high, a few weeks ago, I was in a bar (so, drunk at the same time, great combo), I had that THC wax for the first time, and I wound up so far gone I accidentally draped my overcoat over the bouncer's head trying to navigate to the bathroom. It was about that time I had to call a taxi to get home before I got myself shot, but I wound up asking him to drop me off just three buildings down to get some Taco Bell, then walked about a mile and a half back home in sub-zero weather because I'd forgotten it was acceptable to call a taxi company more than once. When I finally did make it back home, I spent about an hour and a half trying to watch TV and listen to Megadeth at the same time before falling asleep.

Bump? Yeah, I'm gonna bump. Shaving is for others. So you keep your gods-damned razors away from my face.

I really need to stop coming here after a full bottle of whiskey. I found two instances of me asking for the exact same genre, gods know what else I did that I missed.

Sweet. I do dig a lot of other genres. Classic rock, hip-hop to an extent, punk, classical, jazz, etc. Metal, though, is, always was, and always will be my favorite genre.

Hey, all! I'm Mister Asmodeus! But please, call me Asmo if it's easier. Born in Ohio, raised in Indiana, the most boring state in the US, and the largest cornfield. I got into heavy metal from my dad, who always listened to classic stuff like Metallica, Maiden, Motorhead, etc. Nowadays, I listen to all kinds of metal. Everything from Bio-Cancer, to Ne Obliviscaris, to Death, to Tarot, Motorhead (duh), Skyclad, Ensiferum, Megadeth, Dethklok, and hell, even Nightwish. And many bloody more. I don't really stick to any particular sub-genre, and I'm the polar opposite of an elitist. I've been into metal since I was a toddler, so it's a genre I love, and I will never knock a band or subgenre for being "poser metal." Unfortunately, I don't play any instruments; my mom talked me out of learning drums when I was a child (The actual fuck, mom?), and in my teens, every friend who I asked to teach me some guitar got frustrated and decided not to when I, you know, didn't know how to play the guitar, which was why I was asking for help. Not related to metal, I also really like cartoons, wrestling, sci-fi shit, real science, video games, the occasional book, and YouTube. That's a little about me. Anything else you'd like to ask?
