Corpsegrinder for me on this one. I love the Barnes era albums, but never cared for him as a vocalist. Corpsegrinder on the other hand, I believe elevated Cannibal Corpse. He is just all around a more talented vocalist.

Black Sabbath with Ozzy was infinitely darker, and arguably invented heavy metal. However, they hit a great stride with Dio. One just cannot deny a song like "After All" for sheer epic nature. Gun to head, I would have to choose Dio Sabbath.

My other band is Magguts. I play bass in this band. We play death grind, comparable to Napalm Death, Nausea (CA), Terrorizer, etc. We are currently working on our second full length for Redrum Records.

We blend black metal and death metal over a heathy bed of folk to create a style that we (of course) would like to believe is fairly unique. What's up? New here, and haven't done forums in years. Saw this one, looks cool, signed up! My name is Lael. I play guitar / vocals in a Viking metal band called Olden, and play bass in a death grind band called Magguts. I love pretty much every genre under the metal umbrella, with the exception of metalcore / deathcore / djent. But even those genres have one or two bands that I can casually get into.
