  1. Just got a hold of this Finnish Metal / Rock Band and it is really a breath of fresh air.. To take consider that this is their self-produced debut album in an indie label, it's is VERY good. The title Anchord refers to mucis and their nautical theme. The band says their name, "HMS Keelhaul" - means that it is a ship, navigated by the band members. hmm. interesting. So to the music itself. The Album opens with a track "Be Gone" which is mid tempo / semi-agressive tune driven by pretty intense guitarwork and screaming vocals. A catchy song and sticks in the head pretty good. nice opening track. Second song "Hand of Death" is a definetely a metal song with melodic guitar riffs and nice alternating vocal in the chorus. Nice guitars solo. The album's naval theme comes in place with the 3. song "Lighthouse of Life", which has a very nice guitar harmony driven, kinda rowing tempo throughout. authentic. Fourth song "Fall to the Floor" is a very good mid-tempo riffing, kinda AOR Drums-follow-guitar style track with some screaming and growling vocals in the verses and nice vocal harmonies in the choruses. they released a music video of the song just recently, check that out too. The album continues to surprise me with it's grip with the song "Crashlanded" this is a fast-paced melodic Guitar/Drum oriented song with intense vocalwork, which grips to the end. Maybe my personal fave of the album. The sixth song "Missing piece" is a old-fashioned ballad, which is nowadays very nice to hear. Sensitive song with bone-chilling guitar solo. Like the emotional charge on the vocals also. The seventh song is "Rock n Roll" and the title says it all. i was almost dazzled when i saw this video on youtube. They clearly had fun making it and the song is all about just having fun and letting go. nice guitar riffs. bit of a surprise also. again. 8. "Back in the Game" is an intense metal song with screaming vocals and above average dual-guitaring. liked the slap-bass in the beginning of the verses. 9. "Seven years". Melodic song with vocal and guitar harmonies. nice guitar solo and catchy chorus. 10. Arch enemies. The most Metal song on the album. nice closure for the genre defying, fresh and catchy, not too polished Metal/Rock album. i think these guys will go to places in the future.
