I'm a big fan of dungeon synth, so I've heard a fair few from this thread, but some of these are wonderful discoveries. Really enjoyed Blood Lord and Wayfarer.

1914 - Where fear and weapons meet October 22, presumably on Napalm Records.
"Blind leading the blind" was my favorite album of 2018 so I'm really looking forward to the follow up. For those unaware, 1914 is an Ukrainian black metal band (no Nazi) that mainly sing about WW1. They're not the rawest, nor the most commercial, but straddles that nice middle ground of being memorable while still being fucking intense.

I have finally gotten to the crux of my issues with this Memoriam album.  In no particular order:
    - It's incredibly front heavy with a noticeable dip in quality from halfway through onwards
    - I don't like Spikey T. Smith's drumming style, it sounds like it was meant for another record altogether (outside of death metal)
    - The previous album had lashings of Bolt Thrower influence and that's not a criticism because at the same time it also had loads of identity from the band to suggest that they could build their own sound beyond those influences (the great use of groove for example). However, on this latest release there's hardly any sense of that Memoriam presence or identity beyond the BT greatness that is around still in abundance.
