  1. Blackthorn - The Rotten Ways Of Human Misery (outstanding Mexican old school death metal, essential listening)
  2. Sorrowful - In The Rainfall / Grief Of The Dying (yet more death doom; obscure Mexican band, highly recommended)
  3. Ataraxy - Curse Of The Requiem Mass (more death-doom)
  4. Yeah, it's had quite a few listens from me too. Does annoy me how Sodom release singles from EPs, though - especially when those EPs in turn mostly just feature tracks from the forthcoming album. Not that I mind theoretically paying for the same tracks multiple times, I'm basically just impatient for the album
  5. Mortiferum - Disgorged From Psychotic Depths (again) (good death-doom album released this month)
  6. Really like The Cure. Don't actually have a physical copy of that album though, should probably rectify that.

It is good, just never quite did it for me overall somehow. Couldn't tell you why. Maybe I'll end up loving it eventually, metal is weird like that.
  8. Pearl Jam - Ten Don't care, it rules.
  9. Antichrist - Pax Moriendi An excellent Peruvian death-doom album from last year, well recommended.
  10. Sodom - Persecution Mania Seem to appreciate this album more every time I listen to it.
  11. No idea, sorry! I absolutely love the Baphomet cover (don't know who that's by either, but it really does it for me) ...but I always found the Banished one to be a little silly. Art is so subjective though eh. But yeah, for my money this is definitely where it's at.
  12. Looking forward to the new album I really enjoyed Gore... much as I have hardly listened to the CD since I bought it, for some reason.
  13. Baphomet - The Dead Shall Inherit God I love this album. If anyone hasn't heard Deliver Me Unto Pain by Banished, that is also recommended - same band, some of the same tracks, recorded later under a different name; also great. I really want the Death In The Beginning aka Inheritors Of The Dead - a Baphomet demo recordings CD - again, featuring some of the same tracks. I am yet to find a copy, though
  14. Ov Shadows - Monologues Underrated black metal band... their debut full-length (which followed this EP) is even better.
  15. I should have gone to see a good death metal band play in town tonight. Second time they've played at the same venue this year, and the second time I have failed to attend. Work this week drained the life out of me, that's my excuse anyway. Had fun listening to death metal and drinking Jack Daniels, though, so not a complete loss.
  16. Off the top of my head, I would probably have to go for: Megadeth - Rust In Peace Slayer - Reign In Blood Sepultura - Arise Death - Scream Bloody Gore Burzum - Filosofem
  17. Morbid Angel - Altars Of Madness
  18. Mortiferum - Disgorged From Psychotic Depths

I agree with BlutAusNerd, FatherAlabaster and MacabreEternal - Cause Of Death is easily the best release. I also own the Don't Care EP and that Tardy Brothers album, but where the rest of their discography is concerned I am happy with my homemade 2CD compilation 🤓 Finally got to see them live last year, and was a little underwhelmed if I'm honest. Perhaps that was just down to so many people having hyped their live presence over the years, though; and/or the system not being as loud as it should have been. Would love to see them playing Cause Of Death in any case. This ☝️
