  1. Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), Cemetery Gates (Pantera), N.I.B. (Black Sabbath), Waidmanns Heil (Rammestein), Love Me Like A Reptile (Mötörhead), Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin)
  2. I don't listen to a ton of metal like the people on here. Usually, I switch around on listening from metal to punk to jazz to classical, and so forth. But I will listen to some of these bands when I get a chance. Thanks for the reply.
  3. My band, Rockboro, is a rock band from Scottsboro. If anyone gets a chance, please go to my YouTube channel: Cole Kirkland, and leave me feedback on the Wild Thing video.
  4. I'm mostly interested in classic metal (Black Sabbath, Metallica, Deep Purple, etc.), but I also like other kinds of metal. I’m exploring a bit of gothic metal at the moment, so I’ve been learning piano parts for some Type O Negative songs lately.
  5. Are there any good metal songs with piano/keyboard parts? I was wondering, because I'm starting to learn how to play piano. The only one I can think of so far is Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home".
  6. What does this have to do with metal?
  7. The only full Black Sabbath album I've listened to so far is their debut album, so I guess that's my favorite album. My favorite Black Sabbath song is either N.I.B. or Supernaut.
  8. The 2 bands that I'm already into are Metallica and Black Sabbath. I'll make sure to look at the thrash forum when I have a lot of free time. Everybody that has posted on this so far, thanks for posting and giving me information. I really appreciate it.
  9. I'm kind of new to the metal community. What are some good bands or albums I should start with?
  10. Re: Who is the best of the Big 4? Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth
  11. I've been playing guitar for 4 years. I was first inspired by country music, because that was the main thing I listened to when I was young. But I was more inspired to play guitar after I got into rock music, because the guitar riffs in rock songs are AWESOME. Sometimes, listening to good guitarists inspires me to play. When I watch Jimi Hendrix play the fool out of his Strat during "Killing Floor" at Monterey Pop, I think "Man, I wish I could play like that." That inspires me. Also, watching School of Rock inspires me to play. I am also inspired to play after listening to James Hetfield's story of playing guitar when he was at Guitar Center.
  12. For whether on not I find spirituality through music, it depends on what the song is about. For example, Metallica's "Holier Than Thou" reminds me that I shouldn't judge people, because I also have flaws. I find spirituality in this song, because it represents a Bible verse: "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
  13. Metallica's a great thrash metal band. The Black Album is good, but their thrash metal albums are better in my opinion.
