Unholy Archangel- "Kataclysmic Perversions" I have listened to this several times and appreciated its chaos very much. Today, however, this compilation hit me much deeper, particularly during the portion containing the 'Blessed by Aris' EP. In war metal, a genre of utmost catastrophy, this belongs alongside Blasphemy, Sarcófago, and Conqueror as the soundtrack to the apocalypse.

Beherit- "The Oath of Black Blood" Haven't been listening to my tapes lately. This was still in the player so why not give it a few listens. DEEEEMMOOOONNOOOMMAAANNCYYY

Conqueror- "War.Cult.Supremacy" Still pretty much an every-day thing

Haemorrhage- "Emetic Cult" So so nasty. This would be my favorite example of Carcass worship, if it weren't for General Surgery.

Beherit- "Drawing Down the Moon" Perfect soundtrack for a trip up the mountains to stargaze

I Shalt Become- "In the Falling Snow" Just the title track-- over and over. This is the peak of depressive black metal for my taste.

Cadaver- "Hallucinating Anxieties" Some brutal 7/4 and 3/4 time death metal riffs on this

Burzum- "Burzum/Aske" Burzum- "Det Som Engang Var" I like "Det Som... " a little more every time I re-visit it.

Deicide- "Amon: Feasting the Beast" Pre-deicide material is my favorite deicide material

Grand Belial's Key- "Castrate the Redeemer" Going to see how many repeat listens I can do with this today. The transition from 'The Hexenhaus Vigil' to 'Foul Parody of the Lord's Supper' upon repeating is just serene.

Evil/Vothana- "De Volta Aos Crimes Primitivos/Trở lại Tôi Phạm Nguyên Thủy"

Nitberg/Rundagor/Branikald/Raven Dark/Forest- "Blazebirth Hall: Hammerkrieg" Hail the Blazebirth Hall bm scene from Russia. Some of the most raw and moving extreme metal to me.

Conqueror- "War.Cult.Supremacy" It's kinda funny: i listened back to some of my original riffs today after a couple play-throughs of this album. Turns out, I am a Conqeoror worship riff machine lmao
