Porcupine Tree - The Sound of No One Listening Sumerlands - S/T Sumerlands - Heavens Above single - not sure about this one. The guitars/riffs that made the first album so great seem to take the background. Not crazy about the new vocalist either. Of course I'll spin the new album when it comes out eventually, and I'm am looking forward to seeing them live next week, but this certainly is not what I was expecting.

Worn Mantle - S/T, atmo-death, Minneapolis MN. Doc speaks the truth, even if he can't be bothered to expound on his reco. So I will have to expound for him. This is experimental and different which I'm usually wary of, and it is all over the place, but it's not all weird and crazy or dissonant or soft like a kitten, it's actually very heavy so I'm cool with it. Largely instrumental although there do seem to be some vocals buried way down in the mix somewhere where you can hardly hear them. So the net result is, it's essentially instrumental. It's a bit too long at 70 minutes and it slows down to a crawl in spots, which doesn't always help it any imo. But there's deffo something about it, I am enjoying this quite a bit and I suspect I'll be back to spend more time with this one again in the days to come.
