  3. Without that, we might not have the Muppets, and the world would be a lesser place.

  4. Future Mrs MacabreEternal has started to decorate the house already for Halloween. She does have her good points it must be noted. We made a trip to the storage unit yesterday to grab some stuff and on the way back I called into a furniture store and got a side table and lamp to compliment my Chesterfield armchair nicely. Sacrificing a bookcase in one corner of my office has made the perfect space for this in the corner now. In other news I have decided to tackle my slouching shoulders and have invested in some kind of shoulder brace thing that pulls the shoulders back to straighten the spine. Working at a laptop all day (even though it is on a stand to raise to eye-level) means my posture is terrible. I can properly feel my lungs benefit from it more than anything at this point. Really feels like they are getting full air intake when I am wearing this.

  5. PanterA is my favorite band of all time. Couldn't approve of that choice any more strongly! Always great to see someone else enjoying my favorite thrash band ever!!

  8. Atheist - Piece of Time - my favourite album of their's and one of the few albums I think is underappreciated by the metal community. Cancer - Death Shall Rise - Got the new reissue to replace my 2nd hand copy which had CD "rot". Now if only Noise reissued Skyclad's Prince of the Poverty Line, I'd be a happy little pig! And there's always one song from new Iron Maiden that burrows deep inside my head. And invariably it's the work of Adrian Smith who has an amazing knack for memorable hooks and melodies. Keen to check this out - only heard their later more cross over thrash stuff.

  9. For sure! Muppets Rule! My Animal t-shirt probably gets worn more than any metal shirt I have!

  11. Maaate. I can't agree with any of that. It plucks elements of MBV, ALCEST etc then regurgitates them as pointless maundering. I like MBV, ALCEST etc but I don't think the DEAFHEAVEN guys get it. They are going through the motions. I came to this album without preconceptions beyond my memory of what the last DH album I listened to sounded like. I just don't like this.

  13. I'm giving DEAFHEAVEN - Infinite Granite another spin. The big review sites are all over this, such a great album, change of direction, still heavy, blah, blah, blah. Nup. They are wrong and - as usual - Thatguy is right. This album sucks. Second rate jangle guitar dreamy pop.Wimpy singing. Formless tunes. What's the fucking point? I'm done.

  14. ....it's definitely another fantastic record in a long list of great records by NAPALM DEATH....they are one of the few long running bands who I can say has not made a record that I don't like....consistently in my top 20 every year they put out a record....even my least favorite by them, "Words From The Exit Wound", is still a really good record... 20. Spending time in the city this week ruined my mental state. Too many people (all very COVID conscious I am pleased to report) for me to take in at once, even a rare pat on the head from the big boss couldn't lift my tense mood. I am a rural snob I have concluded. I no longer take public transport or queue very well. I buy eggs in open trays, not boxes.
