I’ve not seen this since it was released, it was screened simultaneously in cinemas and on Film4 in the UK (without ad breaks IIRC), it’s worth a watch if you like Ben Wheatley films. One of the best Zombie films I’ve seen in recent years.

  6. He did the L and M you skipped, then did O since you'd already posted an N. Then I did P. Then you did O again. Way more fun this way TBH, who knows what letter will come next? Most excitement this thread has seen in years! I guess I'll be boring and do S. Slumber Of Sullen Eyes - Demigod

  10. We have a non-metal section here, feel free to start a thread there if you don't see a topic you're looking for. And here's a video of Michelangeli playing Debussy's "reflets dans l'eau". I wish it was synced up better. Dude could rip.

Holy shit, that does looks good. A lost Romero film from '73... Thanks for telling me about it. Shudder ain't bad though. I had some playback/buffering issues on my laptop with it, but it did well on Roku. And you get access to a lot of movies and documentaries. Sometimes the selection kind of bites, but they update it often with new and different stuff that keeps it interesting. It does bode well for the movie. Not sure about directors, but there are a few movies I like, but I'll have to think about it more. I'm partial to 28 Days Later. Then stuff like Dead Alive and Return of the Living Dead... Fulci's Zombie is excellent if you like schlocky stuff (zombies look great though). Then The Serpent and The Rainbow, which is a great Wes Craven film that's more focused on voodoo zombies. Old stuff too like The Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price... although they were technically vampires, but still the living dead. And @Natassja recommended the Rec series before, if you've seen those.

  19. Previewed that one a couple of times on YouTube because the cover grabbed my attention. Still on the fence on whether I really need it or not because I'm trying not to buy 400 albums again this year. But nice going on acquiring that badass orange t-shirt, I like that. Might have to grab one of those for myself. I reckon with you being across the pond and all, at least we won't have to worry about showing up at the pub together both wearing the same bright orange shirt with a Nazi Wolfenstein Skelton on it.

I think it's the fact that it's got great, unsettling effects. A interesting, very surreal premise, and the story doesn't feel dated. The issues of violence as entertainment, pushing boundaries and people compromising their humanity in order to fight an increasing desensitization are just as relevant today as in the 80's. Plus I love the very claustrophobic and paranoid mood throughout the film.

  23. New track from the upcoming Cerebral Rot album. I thought their last album was boring and I find most contemporary "caveman" death metal to be uninspiring and dull, but I liked this track much more than I thought I would so my interest has been piqued. Album releases June 25.

  24. Slander - Careless Talk Costs Lives A buddy of mine just got this on vinyl todsy so I'm checking it out on YouTube. Strangely out of character for me but I'm actually halfway through and digging it, bad vox and all.

  25. Steve Smith is an amazing batsmen, but he and David Warner are hardly Einsteins. I'm surprised something like this hasn't happened sooner - it's just so believable. And as if Bancroft would come up with the idea of ball tampering in only his 8th test match or however many it is. Smith is mad to have done this. He was the best batsman in the world, why even bother with this craziness. It's all so weird. It's like a set-up or something. Also, I know you love the Aussies but the Australian cricket team has long had a reputation for pushing ethical boundaries. Sledging, bowling under arm, Steve Waugh's 'mental disintegration'. This is why I support the English cricket team. God save the queen!
