Megadeth - Countown To Extinction

Hello, new-time user here! I've been interested in metal since I was around my early teens, but I haven't had enough... I dunno, courage to be open about it? My father has always been into rock music and blasted it every sunday, from morning to late - night hours. I enjoyed it, but it never interested me. Now that I'm older and figured out my preferences and gained enough courage to be open about, I made this account to satisfy my metal needs. Also, can any of You recommend metal bands that use vocoder? (Sorry for my awkward English, it's not my first language.)

Yeah Cider is what I usually drink, though I have tried some fruity beer here and there. Once things get too sweet I either take a beer or switch to Red Wine ? I visited Denmark once, but didn't get to try any alcohol there. Ill keep it in mind for next time. You may know that in Norway its common to visit Sweden cuz its so cheap, especially for alcohol. Not going near there though these days

Hi welcome to the forum. What bands are you into?

Hello! I'm composer and guitarist from Finland. In the overall genre of metal I'm mostly into black metal but of course I've also liked many different subgenres over the years, from thrash to death to melodic death to symphonic stuff etc.. I'm also a huge fan of classical music and some other genres too. Pretty much anything can be good if it's just good, you know? I've never been a member of this kind of metal community so here I am now.

I greatly enjoy Sibelius. For symphonies, my favv is #4. A great shorter piece is Finlandia.

Sibelius huh? I have heard of him, don't know if heard any of his symphonies though, will check them out!

Haha, nice And yes, that Dvorak symphony is really great, I love it too! I also like Beethovens symphonies, especially 3rd and 9th and also his piano sonatas. One of my favorite composers is finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957), his symphonies are great.! He composed 7 symphonies and I really like all of them. There's too much to mention but those are some of my favorites I've only listened to it one or two times so I really can't say any comment about it yet. How about you?

Awesome dude, I am exactly the same, black metal first, but also all other types of metal too, what's your favourite classical piece? Mine is Dvorak symphony no.9 in E minor, I used to work at a cd shop many years ago, when the boss was out I'd play metal, one day I was playing Stormblast by Dimmu, Guds Fortapelse has a sample of it at the beginning, so bossman arrived and I took it off immediately, he didn't approve of playing metal in the shop, first thing he puts on when he gets there was Dvorak 9th Symphony, I nearly spat my tea out cos I thought I'd left the Dimmu album in the cd player!!! The whole symphony is super dramatic though which is why I love it so much... You cant beat Jesus' Tod man, best burzum track! Beholding the daughters of the firmament too!!

I don't know if I have any favorite bands nowadays but one worth mentioning is Burzum and especially Hvis lyset tar oss and Filosofem albums, also all the Burzum ambients!

Not familiar with most of those if honest, I mean I know who they are but I tend to dwell on the more extreme side of metal but there are lots of threads on here linked to the bands you mention and plenty more users who share your favourites. Hope you enjoy your time here.
