  1. TimeWhatIsTime

    Hi there

I'm a 33 years old guy from Hungary. In my childhood I listened those well-known bands like Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, Metallica... as most of us, I guess. I was 14 when heard the Midian by Cradle Of Filth. The atmosphere of this record amazed me and opened a gate toward metal music. However, later I listened mainly power metal and some of thrash. But nowadays, for a few years ago, my favorites are, or some of them: Morbid Angel, Carcass, Obituary, Vintersorg, Opeth (rather early), Emperor. Recently I've found the Tomb Mold, probably they will get up on my list. By the way, for some time I read the forum, especially the "Death Metal" and "Deep and meaningful" sections, and hope to find my place among you.

  2. I am doing a “review challenge” for another forum and it is throwing up lots of great death metal albums. Today I got to review Elvenefris, Diabolical Conquest and Crimson. 25 albums in total and I have 6 left.

  3. I love that sax. One of the guitarists played a lot of the sax parts on the recording. Wish we could have that in the mix for our live show, but it's not gonna happen this time around. Thanks for checking it out!

  4. I was listening to this last night. Way more intense than I thought it would be. @Natassja, if you are still looking into some industrial stuff, check this out!

  5. Just go to the part with sax! Love the mix, even when theres lots of going on, i get no ear fatigue and hear everything really well.. I´ll keep listening.. It will take quite few listens to really get the grasp of everything. So far i like it, in all it´s complexity it´s still quite atmospheric, and the later one is the thing what usually gets its hooks on me.

  9. Arkona - 'Goi Rode Goi!' I've flirted with Arkona for years but never gave them my full attention or purchased an album. I finally bought this, their 2009 classic, and I'm really glad I did. A fantastic folk metal album with an added Russian atmosphere, with surprisingly well produced and performed songs of worship and praise to the old gods. And Masha 'Scream' is an incredible vocalist, not to mention a stunning beauty worth of worship and praise.

  13. Thank you man I'm really psyched, just trying to get/stay in the right mental space. The material is a real challenge, and it's definitely helped me grow as a player. Thanks dude!

  14. Got an exciting show coming up tomorrow, it's the album release for the band I recently joined and it'll be my first time on stage with these guys. I'm more than a little nervous, because some of the parts still feel foreign to me, but I guess I'm about as prepared as I can be. All I need now is lots of veggies and a good night's sleep.

  16. Happy New Year to all my friends on here. Really happy to see a few of you back around after some extended absences. My thoughts are with our Australian members, I hope you're safe from the wildfires.
