  5. Welcome to the forum. We have a lot of sections and a lot of threads; it can take a bit of work to get your bearings. Hopefully this helps. The busiest thread is usually "What Are You Listening To?" There are several other threads in the General Chat and Forum Games sections that see a decent amount of activity. To see newest posts first and get a sense of where the action is, select All Activity from the Activity tab, either near the top of the screen (for desktop) or in the drop-down menu (for mobile users). Introduce yourself if you'd like. Start a thread in our intro section and tell us a bit about yourself. Don't use this section for promotion; it's just for personal introductions. Promotion in the promo section only. We keep promotion separate from our discussion threads. If you want to share your band or any other project, start a thread about it in Promote Yourself. This is the catch-all section for anything that you're involved with - music, artwork, videos, your playthroughs, your review channel, your book/game/survey, etc. This also goes for anything you're sharing for a friend, or getting paid to flog, or anything asking people to click through to another site. Keep it in this section. Promotion elsewhere is treated as spam; it'll be deleted and you might get banned. Looking for a band to join? Looking for a band member? Post in one of these sections to share a bit about your project and what you're looking for. You can post your own music here, within reason. Don't turn it into a promo thread. No duplicate threads, no topic bumping. Label your links. Want to join the discussion? Feel free to jump into our ongoing threads and share your favorites, or your current listening, or whatever else is relevant. YouTube and Bandcamp links are fine, but please label your video links with the artist and song or album title so we have something to refer to. Unlabeled and broken links are subject to removal. No file sharing/download links. This should go without saying. If you need help with anything, you're welcome to contact the moderator staff. Hope you enjoy your stay.

  6. No need to apologize, that's what the forum is here for. Several of the regulars including myself have gotten pretty long-winded or been guilty of oversharing at times, it comes with the territory. Glad you're finding some value in it.

  7. You might like 3rd And The Mortal. Their singer has an unearthly voice and the atmosphere on "Sorrow" is perfect for a winter morning. For clean male vocals in this kind of doom, the first thing that I think of is My Dying Bride's classic "The Angel And The Dark River". Most of their stuff features harsh vocals but this album and the one after it are (almost) all clean singing. Another band that comes to mind is Isole. Their album "Bliss Of Solitude" is my favorite. It has a little bit of growling here and there but the focus is always on the clean vocals, and this guy's voice is phenomenal: I'm moving this to the doom section, there are some threads here that might have more of interest to you. Most of what I like the best has harsh vocals, but if I think of anything else, I'll share it. I'm sure Requiem and True Belief would have some thoughts here.
